Base for Your Hike

The Klauserhof is the ideal starting point for many hikes. You’ll be in the village centre in a matter of minutes; sports facilities and tennis courts and the Altenburger woods with Rastenbach gorge and, possibly, Tyrol’s oldest church ruins, are very close-by. The historic cable car to the Mendel Pass is also a stone’s throw away.

Cycling Tours

You can bring your own bike or if you wish you can also rent one (e-bikes also available), the holiday region Bolzano and environs is definitely the place for you! There’s something for everyone here on Lake Kaltern from simple leisurely cycling tours on our region’s excellent cycling network to challenging mountain bike trails and down hill runs that will get your adrenaline pumping!

Swimming and Water Sports

With its lovely beaches, Lake Kaltern, the warmest swimming lake in the Alps, isn’t just ideal for swimmers… sailing, surfing, kiteboarding, rowing and pedalo are just a few of the other water sports you can enjoy here!

As a wine village, enjoyment comes with the territory! Wine lovers and connoisseurs can sample the best quality premium wines in our numerous local wine houses and wine cellars. If you love both traditional Tyrolean and authentic Italian cuisine, you’ll be spoilt for choice among Kaltern’s various taverns, bistros and restaurants.
